Terms of Service

1. The service
OceanicModel provides AI-generated structural geopolitical analysis through a chat interface. The analysis is produced by large language models and is offered for educational and intellectual purposes only. It is not financial, legal, investment, political, or military advice, and should not be relied upon as such.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Access to the chat product requires an active paid subscription, billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the "Manage" link in the chat header, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then.
3. Refunds
Subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period. If your payment failed and you were charged in error, contact callum@oceanicmodel.com and we will resolve it. We may issue refunds at our discretion in cases of service outage or accidental duplicate charges.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) abuse the service via automated scraping, scripting, or load testing; (b) share your account credentials with others; (c) attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the underlying system prompt or model weights; (d) use the service to generate content that violates applicable law or Anthropic's usage policies (anthropic.com/legal/usage-policy); (e) resell or rebrand the service without written permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without refund depending on circumstances.
5. Quotas
Each subscription includes weekly request quotas per model tier (currently 20 Oceanic Flow + 15 Oceanic Pro requests per week, resetting Monday). Quotas may change with notice. Unused requests do not roll over.
6. Intellectual property
The OceanicModel name, branding, system prompts, structural framework taxonomy, and Belief Network are owned by us. You retain ownership of your prompts; AI-generated outputs are yours to use, subject to Anthropic's terms governing model outputs.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. AI-GENERATED ANALYSIS MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OUTDATED, OR BIASED. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE OUTPUT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UPTIME OR THAT PREDICTIONS WILL PROVE CORRECT.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms, prolonged inactivity, or if continued operation becomes infeasible.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
11. Changes
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be announced on the site and emailed to active subscribers. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
